Fresnel is the name of the lense inside of a lighthouse. The lens was named after Augustine Jean Fresnel. He created a compound lense that is currently used in most lighthouses. His research lead to the creation of a lens that allowed the light from a lighthouse to be seen at a much farther distance. This allows for a 100 watt bulb in a lighthouse to be seen at a distance of 26 miles away. It does not take much - sometimes a little light (idea, dream, wish) is all you need to create impactful transformations.
